Gallery Wall Tips for Your Living Room
Gallery walls are all the rage right now & we love it. They are such a great way to show off your interior design style. Gallery walls are also a great way to fill a blank wall! However, as Gallery wall connoisseurs, we have noticed a trend: people tend to get stuck on how to curate their own gallery wall. Whether they can’t decide on a composition or they aren’t sure how to incorporate their TV into the mix, we’ve seen it all. And we want to help! So we’ve put together a few of our favorite, super easy gallery wall tips in this blog post.
The Ultimate Gallery Wall Hack:
Before we dive into ANY other aspect of curating the perfect gallery wall, our top suggestion is this: turn your Smart TV into a Frame TV & feature it as the focal point of your design. Or, if you already have a frame TV, use it as the focal point of your gallery wall. The reason we suggest this is that it makes determining the composition of your gallery wall SO much easier. Instead of investing in a large piece of art to act as the star of the show, you can just accentuate your Frame TV with smaller pieces. And, you can switch up your Frame TV art with much more ease!
Featuring your Frame TV as the centerpiece of your gallery wall also makes it a lot easier to switch up your decor throughout the seasons. You can simply replace your TV Wallpaper with seasonally relevant art from our Big Frame Club art gallery. This is SO much more cost effective than buying new artwork for every holiday or new season!
Gallery Wall Tips on Composition:
When you’re planning your gallery wall around your Frame TV or Smart TV, we recommend spacing all art between 3 and 6 inches away from each other. Space larger artworks with more space in between, and smaller artworks with less space in between.
You’ll also want to determine whether you would like to plan a symmetrical or more eclectic gallery wall layout. For symmetrical compositions, you’ll want to make sure each measurement is precise and mirrored on either side of your focal point. For more eclectic layouts, you can place art more freely. We’ve included an example of each below!
The main goal with either? To create balance! Rely heavily on the rule of thirds. Here is more information on composition if you feel like you need more advice!
Lastly, if you REALLY feel stuck on composition, we’ve got a few done for you gallery wall bundles that include Frame TV artwork to match on our Etsy! We’ve included a few example bundles below.
Where to Find Art for Your Frame TV Gallery Wall:
Lastly, we wanted to leave you with a few resources for picking art for your Frame TV gallery wall! There are a ton of great places online where you can buy individual Frame TV artworks; however, if you like to change your art up seasonally like we do, then buying individual artwork can get VERY pricey.
That’s why we recommend finding your Smart TV wall papers and Frame TV art work with us here at Big Frame Club. With our yearly or monthly membership, you have access to our entire gallery full of hundreds of unique, custom TV wallpapers AND you can download as many as you want, whenever you want. This way, you don’t have to pay for individual pieces each time you decide you’re ready to switch things up!
If a membership doesn’t sound right for you, then you can still browse hundreds of designs on our Etsy for individual purchase.
We hope that these tips help you curate the TV gallery wall of your dreams! If you’d like to sample our artwork before you invest in a membership, you can get free samples from us here. Be sure to stay in touch on Instagram and Pinterest for updates and exclusive offers!
